KL Sentral (also known as Kuala Lumpur Sentral, Sentral Kuala Lumpur and Sentral KL) is an intermodal transport hub located at the heart for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. KL Sentral is the major connecting station for various transit services in Kuala Lumpur, namely KTM Komuter, Kelana Jaya Line, Ampang Line and KL Monorail. Apart from that, KL Sentral is also a terminal for KTM Intercity and KLIA Ekspres / KLIA Transit. RapidKL buses also stop here.

History

In 1994, Malaysian Government has given a contract to a consortium to build a modern transit hub on KTMB’s former marshalling yard land plot. KL Sentral was opened for public access on April 16th 2001, replacing much of Kuala Lumpur Station’s function.
